Boubacar Kamara, Out For A Month

The French midfielder was injured against Crystal Palace

Bad news for Unai Emery’s Aston Villa. Boubacar Kamara, the key player in the Villains’ midfield, got hurt in a fight with Cheick Doucouré against Crystal Palace. The Malian went in for a tackle, but when he tried to get the ball back, he caught the Frenchman’s ankle and gave it a big twist. The Aston Villa ’44’ left the field without putting weight on his foot, a bad omen for what turned out to be the case.

Boubacar Kamara, with an ankle injury, will miss the next month. The Frenchman had already suffered an injury that kept him out of the World Cup and now, being irreplaceable for the Basque coach, he will once again be out of action for a period of time. In his first season in the Premier League, he has already established himself as one of the best “5s” in the league, playing 19 games and delivering great performances in the Bordeaux shirt. Unai Emery will have to find a replacement for Kamara in the pivot position next to Douglas Luiz during a very important part of the season.
