Champion’s Viral Goal Wins Hearts of Argentine National Team, Catching Attention of Scalonib

After winning the World Cup by defeating France on penalties, the Argentine National Team is awaiting friendly matches against Panama and Curacao at home where they will celebrate their achievement in front of two fully-packed stadiums.

One of the players who will be present in the Argentine National Team is Thiago Almada, who continues to showcase his skills in the Major League Soccer of the United States, where he is a key player for Atlanta United and continues to perform well, allowing him to remain in the “Albiceleste” squad.

In the last few hours, Thiago Almada scored a brace in his team’s 5-1 win at home against the Portland Timbers, and to top it off, he provided two assists. The first goal from the Argentine was at the 50th minute of the first half with a free-kick that went to the left corner of the opponent’s goal.

At the 41st minute of the second half, the Argentine player received the ball with his back to the goal and turned around to shoot low to the left post of the goalkeeper. Therefore, Thiago Almada is one of the top players in the MLS, where Atlanta United is the leader with 10 points in Zone A.

On the other hand, Lionel Scaloni spoke about the young players of the Argentine National Team, such as Thiago Almada, stating: “Football and life are about constantly improving. We always give the opportunity to play to those who we truly believe are better in each call-up.”

Finally, the coach of the Argentine team added: “There are always young players coming through. We will give them the opportunity if we really believe they deserve it. It’s clear that we have to keep going and not fall asleep. You can’t be thinking about winning the World Cup every day. Winning doesn’t mean everything. Life goes on, we have to continue trying to improve. At least, give it a try. I don’t think about it every day.”
