The Borussia Dortmund has shown a keen interest in Manuel Benson, the Belgian right winger for Championship team Burnley, who recently secured promotion to the Premier League. While relatively unknown until now, Benson’s talent and skill have not gone unnoticed by football scouts, and it appears that Dortmund is ready to take action to secure him for their team.
Benson, 24, began his career at Belgian side Genk, before moving on to clubs such as Antwerp and PEC Zwolle, and then to Burnley in 2022. Since then, he has been a key player for the team, playing in 31 Championship matches and recording 10 goals and three assists (1376′). His ball skills, vision of the game, and ability to create opportunities have caught the attention of several European clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, Inter, and Marseille.
Meanwhile, Burnley does not seem to have any intentions of letting Benson go easily, as it is an opportunity for the Belgian to play in the Premier League. However, the opportunity to play for one of Europe’s biggest teams could be too tempting for Benson, and his potential move to Dortmund could benefit both the player and the German team.
